Urban Development

Have you ever had a desire to “clean up” a property that doesn’t belong  to you? Well I have on more than one occasion! Little did I know that one day I would be instrumental in that actually taking place. For about 40 years I watched what was once a well maintained trailer park gradually deteriorate as the owner aged and could no longer care for it.  It was my pleasure to sell this beautiful piece of property for the heirs and watch it be transformed to a setting for multi family housing units. What a joy to drive by and see this property “shine”.

Another property was the location of an old abandoned bank. One day my brother-in-law asked me if I knew of any “projects”—I told him about the  bank which was located at the intersection of the main street. I shared with him  my opinion that the abandoned bank defined the downtown area and how important I felt it was for that location to be “positive”.  He took the challenge and now stands a beautiful hotel on that corner!!
